MANILA (UPDATED) – Alas Pilipinas will represent the Philippines in the VTV Cup, the Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) announced on Thursday.
2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference champion Petro Gazz was initially tapped to compete in the tournament, but AVC and PNVF President Ramon "Tats" Suzara informed the media that Alas Pilipinas will carry the flag instead.
The 2025 VTV Cup will run from June 28 to July 5 in the Vĩnh Phúc province in Vietnam.

The Jia de Guzman-captained squad will also participate in the Hanoi-hosted 2025 AVC Women's Volleyball Nations Cup from June 7 to 14, just before the VTV Cup.

Among those who were seen training with the women's volleyball national team were De Guzman, young guns Julia Coronel, Leila Cruz, Thea Gagate, Shaina Nitura, returning members Jen Nierva, Vanie Gandler, Mars Alba, Eya Laure, Dell Palomata, Dawn Catindig among others.
Also seen among them were Fil-Americans MJ Phillips and Tia Andaya.
