MANILA, Philippines – University of the Philippines standout Nina Ytang is still unsure of her next step in her young volleyball career.
Ytang, 23, said she's still contemplating whether she would stay with the Fighting Maroons or join the professional volleyball scene.
This, after she was named Best Middle Blocker in the UAAP Season 87 women's volleyball tournament on Wednesday at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

"Hindi ko pa po alam eh. Kailangan pa siyang pag-isipan and then malapit na ‘yung deadline ng pasahan ng requirements. Marami pang kailangan kausapin, kailanga asikasuhin," said Ytang.
Ytang remained confident that with or without her, UP will do good in Season 88.
"It’s gonna be interesting talaga for next year. Maraming dapat maging excited for, pero siguro abangan niyo na lang sila dahil for sure sa akin, magiging maganda 'yung laban [nila] at 'yung ipapakita ng UP next year."
Ytang was grateful for her recent recognition as she gave credit to her teammates and coaches.
"I’m very grateful po naman talaga. Hindi ko naman makukuha ‘yung mga awards ko na ito kundi dahil sa mga coaches, sa mga teammates ko. Hindi naman ako mapupunta dito kung walang tulong ng teammates."
