MANILA, Philippines – Now we know why Wilma Salas keeps on returning to the Philippines.

Salas, 34, has played for two PVL teams now — Petro Gazz and PLDT.

The Cuban import gave her best for the High Speed Hitters, but she and the team fell short against Zhetysu, 13-25, 22-25, 20-25, in the AVC Women's Champions League on Thursday at PhilSports Arena.

She might have seen her return get halted by the Kazakhs, but that didn't stop Salas from falling in love with her current team and the country itself.

Salas said she would go to Cuba with a happy heart, sharing that she felt at home with PLDT.

"I say [after] the first conference, I feel like [I’m] home with PLDT. I will go back to my country happy," she said.

The foreign winger expressed thanks for the opportunity to represent the Philippines, and that the Southeast Asian country "has her heart."

"This opportunity is good for me, that’s why I would like to thank [everyone] for the opportunity to represent the Philippines," she said. "For sure, the Philippines is in my heart every time, so, thank you for this."
