MANILA, Philippines – The Creamline Cool Smashers proved Thursday that they do not want to concede their dynastic reign, keeping their hopes for a five-peat alive by taking down breakthrough-seeking Petro Gazz, 25-15, 16-25, 25-21, 15-25, 15-9, in Game 2 of the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference Finals at the Araneta Coliseum.
According to Jema Galanza, it's all about saving their efforts and not putting those to waste.

"Sinabi lang talaga namin na kaya namin 'to — na hindi kami papayag na matatapos 'tong season nang hindi nakukuha 'yung championship," said Galanza as she reflected on their five-set escape of the Brooke Van Sickle-led squad.
Galanza said the team had found another boost as they clung in the match — faith.

"Siguro kinalimutan lang namin 'yung four sets na 'yon. Tapos na 'yon, eh. Mag-focus kami do'n sa 15 points na kailangan namin. So nagtiwala lang din kami, nag-pray kami kay Lord para mas kumapit pa kami sa game na 'to," she said.
After seeing little action in the semifinals, the Adamson University product finally found the right time to contribute to the Cool Smashers in the championship round.
In Game 2, she delivered 13 markers as she played in all five sets for the team.

"Siyempre happy na nakalaro, nakalaro nang matagal, pero malaking bagay din po 'yung tiwala na binibigay ng team, lalo na si Coach She sa akin. Kailangan ko lang talaga gawin 'yung trabaho ko," Galanza said.
The reigning All-Filipino Conference Finals MVP vowed to give her all in the do-or-die match this Saturday.
"Last game na, io-all out na namin, bigay na namin lahat ng lakas na kaya naming ibigay."
