MANILA, Philippines – National University's very own Alyssa Solomon will join the Korean V-League (KOVO) Asian Quota Draft.
Solomon, only 23 years old and also the UAAP Season 86 Finals MVP, has thrown her hat in the ring, joining big names in women's volleyball — Choco Mucho setter Mars Alba, PLDT middle blocker Majoy Baron, and Maddie Madayag, who's currently playing for Kurobe AquaFairies in Japan — in trying their luck to land a roster spot in Korea.

Playoff-bound PLDT and Choco Mucho are currently chasing for PVL glory in in the ongoing 2024-25 All-Filipino Conference, while Madayag and company are also in the middle of a campaign in the Japan SV.League.
The Lady Bulldogs, bannered by Solomon who previously declared that she's foregoing her final playing year in the UAAP, are gunning for back-to-back titles in Season 87.

Meanwhile, in the men's division, Marck Espejo, who is currently playing for the Kubota Spears Osaka in Japan, has entered the Draft once more in hopes of playing in Korea again.

He saw action for the Incheon Korean Air Jumbos in the 2023-24 season, where they clinched the title.
