MANILA — The Philippines' star opposite spiker Alyssa Solomon is back in the country and has joined the national team's buildup for the 2025 Southeast Asian Games in Thailand.
Solomon was welcomed on Tuesday, as Alas Pilipinas Volley announced the promising news.
The National University product hit the pause button on her Japan S.V. League campaign with JT Marvelous to be with the national team in the biennial sporting meet.
"Our powerhouse [JT Marvelous] import has returned to the Philippines and is set to train with the rest of 🇵🇭ALAS PILIPINAS as they gear up for the upcoming SEA Games.
It's a welcome development for the national team as it waits for its pool members to finish the ongoing 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference.
Following Cignal and Capital1's exits in the quarterfinals, more players are now expected to join the buildup, including Dawn Catindig, Vanie Gandler, Bella Belen, and Leila Cruz.
Belen last night said that she's hopeful to see more Alas members in their training camp.
"Ngayon, hopefully, makapag-training na po lahat, kasi mahirap mag-prepare nang ilang araw lang, lalo na yung mga kalaban po namin sa SEA Games matagal nang nagpe-prepare," said Belen.
