MANILA — PLDT turned back Nxled in straight sets, 25-22, 25-21, 25-20, in the 2025 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference on Friday at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.
With the win, the High Speed Hitters have cemented their spot in Pool D, tying Farm Fresh in the standings at 4-1, and will be facing the lower-ranked teams from Pool B in the next round.
Fil-Canadian star spiker Savi Davison anchored that triumph, registering a near-triple-double of 19 points, 10 excellent digs, and nine excellent receptions, while import Anastasiia Bavykina had 10 points and nine excellent receptions.

Playmaker Kim Fajardo orchestrated that win with 12 excellent sets, while libero-captain Kath Arado also made her presence felt with 10 excellent digs.

The High Speed Hitters also pounced on the error-prone Nxled side, winning 24 points out of those while only giving up 16.
They survived reinforcement Paola Martinez's 29-point explosion—the lone silver lining for coach Ettore Guidetti. No Nxled local came close, as Chiara Permentilla was the nearest at seven points.
