MANILA — Basketball veteran Gabe Norwood on Tuesday rallied behind his cousin, Alohi Robins Hardy, who is playing for the Farm Fresh Foxies as a setter.
Norwood said he has been watching PVL games, especially his cousin's games, as a show of support for the league.
"I've been at (PVL games) more than I can count. I've been out here supporting my cousin and the league altogether," said Norwood on the sidelines of the 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference at the Araneta Coliseum.
Asked how he was guiding his cousin, the Rain or Shine mainstay instead underscored that it was him who is learning from her, asserting that she has made a name for herself.

"I mean, she's her own person. She's been a pro for a long time and she's had a great career. Just her overall experience, played all over the world. So, if anything, I'm probably learning from her," he said.
"Just her approach to the game, her mental focus. It's great to have her family, extended family around to support her," he added.
Norwood is in his swan song in the PBA, as he is set to retire after the PBA Season 50 Philippine Cup.
He said that his goal is to give the Elasto Painters the elusive All-Filipino title.
"I wanted to announce it early so I could really lock in and try to get a championship for Rain or Shine. We haven't won all-Filipino so that's kind of the focus right now."
