MANILA -- Filipina tennis star Alex Eala is set to make her debut at the Queen's Club Championships main draw, set for June 8-14 in London.
Initially listed as a qualifier, world No. 37 Eala earned an entry to the main draw alongside Czech veteran Karolina Pliskova following the withdrawals of Jessica Pegula and Hailey Baptiste due to injury.
Eala is among several players who will open against qualifiers in the first round, joining Maria Sakkari, Marie Bouzkova, Sorana Cîrstea, and Iva Jovic in that group, according to the LTA.
Eala is currently competing at the WTA 125 Birmingham Open where she has advanced to the finals.

The 23-time Grand Slam champion will play doubles, reportedly alongside Canada's Victoria Mboko.
