Dubbed "The Filipinas Homecoming," the team got its well-deserved commemoration event for its golden finish, dethroning Vietnam in a heart-stopping penalty shootout, 6-5.
The Filipinas were greeted with loud cheers, as they also spent a mini meet-and-greet for their fans at the Mall of Asia Sky Amphitheater.

"I think I could speak for the whole team — I can say that we have a lot of momentum right now," Alexa Pino told reporters, reflecting on their victory.
"We're all very excited. We came in as underdogs, and we beat the defending champions. We're very proud of that," Pino added.
The event also served as a send-off for the Filipinas, who are set to compete at the AFC Women's Asian Cup in Australia.

"We're really excited because this is going to be big tournament for the Philippines after coming from SEA Games, where we made a statement," said Jael-Marie Guy.
"We've just been working really hard, and I think all our preparations are gonna be worth it," she added.
The team also released its 26-woman squad for the Asian Cup, scheduled for March 1 to 26.
