Former world champion Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao gave himself a passing grade for his performance against Mario Barrios in their WBC welterweight title bout last July in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Pacquiao returned to Manila on Thursday night after a vacation with his wife, Jinkee, in Italy in the aftermath of his boxing comeback.
The "Pacman" thrilled fans at the MGM Grand Garden Arena with a throwback performance, but judges did not deem it enough for a victory. Instead, Pacquiao settled for a majority draw and Barrios retained his WBC welterweight belt.

"For me, ha, kasi hindi man sa pagbuhat ng upuan. For four years na layoff, walang fight, and then 12 rounds na intense, 'yung kalaban ko younger than me. Satisfied ako sa naging condition ko," said Pacquiao.
"But hindi pa 'yun talaga ang 100% na gusto ko makuha, 'yung speed, 'yung timing, 'yung more punches na gusto ko maabot. Kaya lang, two months, for two months' training, okay na," he added.
Pacquiao previously said that he felt he did not have enough training time, as he was busy campaigning for a Senate seat in the leadup to the fight. The boxer failed in his bid to reclaim a seat in the Senate in the May 2025 midterm elections.
The "Pacman" intends to return to the ring this year, possibly in December.
