Alex Eala has yet another milestone in her young professional tennis career.
Eala reached a career-best No. 64 in the WTA live ranking, four places higher 24 hours ago after taking down Ukraine's Dayana Yastremska in a masterful 6-1, 6-2 sweep in the 2025 Eastbourne Open quarterfinals.
She has reached her breakthrough WTA Tour semifinal on grass after this.

The 20-year-old sensation from the Philippines continued to make waves on the global stage, taking down tennis stars en route to the Final Four of the Great Britain tilt, including No. 20 Jelena Ostapenko of Latvia, who retired due to an unfortunate injury in their Round-of-16 matchup.
But she's not done yet.

The Filipina ace is battling WTA No. 111 Varvara Gracheva of France, scheduled for 6 p.m. (Manila time) for a spot in the final round of the Eastbourne Open.
Eala aims to assert her mastery over Gracheva, whom she defeated two weeks ago in the Nottingham Open.
