Filipina5 lose steam vs. Morocco, exit FIFA Futsal World Cup

Photo from the Philippine Football Federation.MANILA — The Filipina5 made history at the FIFA Futsal World Cup 2025 by scoring their first-ever goals in the tournament — thanks to Inday Tolentin and Catherine Graversen — but the Nationals fell short of converting those into a win.

The Philippines lost steam and suffered a 2–3 defeat to Morocco on Monday at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig, bowing out of contention in the world meet.

Tolentin and Graversen fueled a dream start for the Filipina5, giving them a 2–0 lead to the delight of the home crowd, but they could not withstand Morocco’s response.

The visitors seized control before halftime, with Nadia Laftah, Siiham Tadlaoui, and Jasmine Demraoui scoring three straight goals in a span of seven minutes, enough to secure their first win in two games.

With the loss, the Nationals now carry a -7 goal difference and will aim to salvage at least a win when they face World No. 6 Argentina on Thursday, November 27, at the same Pasig-based venue.
