MANILA -- Star striker Sarina Bolden has been called up to the Filipinas' training camp in November, which will serve as the team's final major preparation window before next month's Southeast Asian Games in Thailand.

The camp runs from November 23 to December 2, and will also be part of the Philippine women's national football team's preparations for next year's 2026 AFC Women's Asian Cup.

"It's also really great to have Sarina come back into camp after her absence with injury and we'll work through her rehab and her processes to bring her back to play as soon as possible," said Filipinas head coach Mark Torcaso.

Bolden, who scored the Filipinas' historic goal against New Zealand in the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, announced in July that she had suffered an ACL injury in April 2025.

According to Torcaso, Bolden will not be ready in time for the SEA Games, but they hope to have the forward ready for the Asian Cup in March.

The Filipinas are grouped against reigning gold medalist Vietnam, silver medalist Myanmar, and Malaysia in the SEA Games women's football tournament in Thailand that will kick off on December 5.

"This is a really exciting window for us as it's our preparation window going into the SEA Games. We've got a nice big squad to select from to attend the SEA Games and we'll use this camp as an opportunity to fine-tune that and pick the best available 23 for the SEA Games," said Torcaso.

The training camp roster features several World Cup veterans as well as new talents. Torcaso is looking forward to welcoming the young players, who had been previously unavailable due to university commitments.

"We plan to go there and make the final games and bring home a medal. I'm really excited by this group and this team that we're bringing and we're looking forward to making the country proud," he said.
