Double Olympic champion Carlos Yulo took the bronze medal in the men's floor exercise at the 53rd Artistic Gymnastics World Championships on Friday in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The Filipino gymnastics star scored 14.533 in the final, with a 5.9 difficulty and an execution score of 8.566, placing behind Great Britain's duo of Jake Jarman and Luke Whitehouse.

"I have no regrets, I did my best and gave my all but Jarvis and Luke just happened to be better today. I am grateful that I reached two apparatus and that is a big plus for me," Yulo said.
Jarman won gold after clinching a score of 14.866, while Whitehouse had 14.666.
"There is still the vault finals and I aim to do better than today," added Yulo.
Jarman, whose mother is from Cebu, won the latest chapter in his "friendly rivalry" with Yulo.
"This gold is quite special since I fancy myself to be a floor exercise guy and winning this is a validation of that," he also said.
Here's how the International Gymnastics Federation described Yulo's execution: "2.5 twist to front double pike, small hop. Double layout double full out, small shuffle back. 3.5 twist side pass. Front double twist to front layout. Stuck double layout full out."

The "Golden Boy" will still participate in the vault finals after advancing to this round.
The floor exercise and vault are the same events where he won gold in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris to make history for the Philippines.
