KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia – Famed YouTuber Cong TV shared Saturday why he is supporting the Philippine esports scene.
At the sidelines of Acer's Asia Pacific Predator League in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the social media sensation whose real name is Lincoln Cortez Velasquez, told ABS-CBN News his fondness of esports and explained why fans should continue supporting teams participating internationally.
"Siyempre sinusuportahan namin 'yan kasi it's a growing community. Especially sa Pilipinas, palaki pa sila nang palaki. Actually sobrang laki na nga nila throughout the years and siyempre, kahit nasaang bansa sila, kailangan nating ipakita 'yung support namin sa kanila para lalo silang ganahan," said the famous vlogger.

In this video, Cong TV alongside Team Payaman, were seen waving a Philippine flag when ZOL Esports clinched a spot to the finals of the Valorant Division of the Malaysian tourney.

Cong TV is confident that there's a future waiting in esports, as players could now compete internationally and enter gaming titles professionally.
"[Para na rin] dumami 'yung mga batang ma-inspire na nanonood na through doing this—na before, parang laro-laro lang—pero ngayon, they can actually compete in a bigger stage and magkaroon ng career.
