Magnolia's Jerom Lastimosa in action. PBA ImagesMANILA — Despite a leak at the roof's venue, Magnolia found a way past Meralco, 105-88, in the PBA Season 50 Governors' Cup on Friday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
The match was halted for nearly an hour due to a leak just before the fourth quarter. Despite this, the Hotshots, led by Jerom Lastimosa, remained hot on the field, sustaining the momentum just before the third frame ended, where they had an 8-0 run for a slim 71-70 lead.

They outgunned the Bolts, 34-18, in the last period to run away with just their third win, their second succeesive triumph after winning over Ginebra last time around, 88-73.
KJ Buffen had much of the scoring load, tallying 27 points as well as seven rebounds, while Lastimosa totaled 17 markers (11 in the fourth) and had six assists and five boards.

Ian Sangalang was named Best Player of the Game after having a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds, as Zav Lucero chipped in 10 markers.
On the other hand, Antonio Hester paced the losing side with 24 points, as Meralco has now lost four in a row.
