Fajardo grabbed his right leg with 1:10 remaining after DeQuan Jones drove to the basket, but the nine-time PBA Most Valuable Player (MVP) assured everyone there was no cause for concern.
"Natamaan lang ako nung heel ng import nila, pero okay lang, wala namang kaso," said Fajardo, who finished with 15 points, six rebounds, and two blocks as San Miguel saw its three-game winning streak snapped. "Wala namang injury."
Fajardo also chose to focus on the positives despite the Beermen absorbing their first loss of the conference, noting how they managed to trim what was once a 25-point deficit to as close as eight, 92-84.
"Okay lang yun. Marami pa namang games, at mas okay nang matalo sa simula ng conference kesa sa dulo," said Fajardo. "Mahaba pa naman, at bounceback na lang kami."
The 6-foot-10 Cebuano instead expressed optimism over the return of Beermen head coach Leo Austria, who was back on the bench after missing the team's previous games while recovering from angioplasty.
"Kailangan niya pang magpahinga, pero makakabalik din naman siya," said Fajardo of Austria, who was in attendance as deputy coach Peter Martin continued to call the shots against NLEX.
