MANILA — Ginebra is off to an impressive start in the PBA Season 50 Commissioner's Cup.
This, as the Gin Kings handed guest team Macau a 17-point beating, 110-93, on Friday at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
They were already up 63-43 entering the halftime break, thanks in large part to RJ Abarrientos and Justin Brownlee, who combined for 36 points in the first two frames.

There was no letting up for Tim Cone's wards as they kept in control for the rest of the match, eventually dealing the Black Knights' third loss in a row.
"It was a little bit surprising, we didn't see this coming," said Cone after the game, speaking on the result.
Abarrientos registered 25 points, six rebounds, and seven assists to earn Player of the Game honors, while Brownlee had a double-double of 31 points and 10 rebounds, to go with five assists.
They also had to overcome a Jayson David injury, as the Gin King fell down earlier in the game. Cone said during the postgame interview that there are still no updates regarding the matter.
On the other hand, Damian Chongqui led the losing effort with 28 points, five rebounds, and five assists, while Jenning Leung had 21 markers and five boards.
