MANILA — PBA Season 50 Draft number one overall pick Geo Chiu wasn't spared from jitters as he debuted in the Commissioner's Cup.
Chiu admitted to feeling "gigil" and pressure as he finally stepped onto a PBA court, playing his first game with Terrafirma.
The Ateneo de Manila University product finally suited up for the Dyip after fulfilling his responsibilities with the MPBL team, Abra Solid North Weavers.
"Siguro, dahil first game nga po medyo may kaba, pressure rin po," Chiu acknowledged. "Pero 'yun, okay naman po. Looking forward rin po siguro next few games."

As the game progressed and he settled in, Chiu's numbers improved. He finished with 14 rebounds and six points, contributing to the Dyip's rousing 112-82 victory over Titan Ultra on Wednesday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
"Masyado pong nanggigil. Masyado po siguro na-excite. Pero nung pahuli po medyo nakuha naman po 'yung rhythm. Pero siguro dapat next time sa next game siguro from the start pa lang dapat mas kalmado lang po siguro."

Chiu said that he was dissatisfied with his performance tonight, but was happy to see his team win.
Terrafirma's triumph over the Giant Risers marked the franchise's biggest in terms of margin, notching a 30-point win, and only the third victory with at least a 20-point lead.
"Hindi pa po tayo satisfied, but masaya naman po ako kasi nanalo naman po kami, and 'yon naman po goal namin heading to this game, hopefully get the win."
