MANILA -- Gilas Pilipinas Women veteran Jack Animam is taking her talents to the Land of the Rising Sun.
Animam has signed with Denso Iris, a team in the top division of the Women's Japan Basketball League, the player's management Titus Sports confirmed Wednesday.
"Looking forward to playing for Denso Iris! Thank you for your support. I can’t wait to play for you and meet all of you at games. I hope you support us all the way. I’m excited to play for Denso Iris!" Animam said through a post on the Denso Iris social media page.
Japan will be the latest stop for Animam's professional career, after she played in Romania with FCC UAV Arad.
Animam led FCC UAV Arad to a third place finish in the Liga Națională last year.
Before Romania, Animam has played in Taiwan, Serbia, France, China and Australia.
The five-time UAAP Women's basketball champion last saw action with Gilas Pilipinas Women in the FIBA Women's Asia Cup in July held in Shenzen, China.

Animam averaged 10.4 points, 10 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game in the tournament, where Gilas finished sixth place.
The Nationals likewise kept their status in the elite Division A and secured a spot in the 2026 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers.
