MANILA, Philippines – Kapamilya superstars Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez were part of the 16,202-strong audience of Game 1 of the UAAP Season 87 men's basketball Finals at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
Also beside them was former ABS-CBN talent Christian Bautista, who is now with the GMA Network.
The three music icons, wearing UP shirts, were cheering for the redemption-seeking Fighting Maroons.

"Kalaban natin ang La Salle, so last year siyempre nanalo La Salle. Hopefully we get it this year," Alcasid said.
"It's very exciting, it's always exciting. Last year we were also here," shared the Asia's Songbird.
UP lost last season against La Salle, but this time, the Goldwin Monteverde-coached squad has a chance to get back against the Taft-based cagers.
"Dapat manalo UP!" exclaimed Bautista, drawing laughter from Velasquez.
