MANILA -- The Philippines will showcase its hospitality after winning the hosting rights to the 2025 FIVB Men's World Championship, set for September 12-28 next year.
Over 600 athletes from the world's top 32 men's volleyball teams will see action in the tournament.
This is the first time in 10 years that the event will be hosted solely by one country, after the past two editions were co-hosted: Italy and Bulgaria staged the 2018 edition followed by the co-hosting of Poland and Slovenia in 2022.

Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) President Ramon "Tats" Suzara promised to give each team the best possible conditions and make them feel at home, so they can perform at the top level.
"The Philippines is ready for the challenge to host the world class competition," Suzara said in a press conference, Tuesday in Taguig.
Senator Alan Peter Cayetano, chairman emeritus of the PNVF, is confident that every participant will enjoy and have a wonderful time in the Philippines.
"I'm reminded of how beautiful our country is. Our No. 1 resource is our people, Filipinos and Filipinas," he said. "Sports tourism can highlight the beauty of our country and our love for volleyball."
Games will be held at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City and the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
The event will also serve as an opportunity to highlight the country as a tourist destination, as many fans and supporters of each team are expected to travel to Manila for the tournament.
Meanwhile, the Philippine men's national volleyball team, now backed by PLDT and Cignal, will begin their training for the competition next month.
