PVL MediaMANILA -- Savouge sent a message to the rest of the league after pulling off a five-set stunner against Cignal HD on Friday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
The Spin Doctors twice recovered from a one-set deficit en route to a 19-25, 27-25, 19-25, 25-23, 15-13 triumph, improving to 3-0 in the 2024 Spikers' Turf Invitational Conference.
They are now in sole possession of the No. 1 spot, while also dropping the HD Spikers to 1-1 in the competition.
Sherwin Caritativo led Savouge with 19 points off the bench, while Hero Austria delivered 10 points in just two sets of action. Charlee Magpayo added 10 points, while Giles and Lorenz Señoron chipped in with eight and six points, respectively.

"Team effort talaga. Tiwala lang sa sarili kasi kung walang tatalo sa Cignal, sino? Yun lang yung sinabi ko, chinallenge ko lang yung sarili namin," said Savouge head coach Sydney Calderon.
Austria, Caritativo and Torres -- a former Cignal middle blocker -- anchored their charge in the fourth set before Austria and Magpayo took over in the decider.
Austria shattered a 13-all deadlock with a hit off Lloyd Josafat to bring Savouge to match point, and Magpayo sealed the deal by shutting down a Martin Bugaoan attack.
The Spin Doctors wrapped up the win after two hours and 23 minutes.
They will now have a long break before returning to action on November 6 against the winless Chichi DHTSI at the Philsports Arena.
Jau Umandal led the charge for Cignal with 21 points, but he exited late in the fifth set with the score knotted at 11 due to cramps in his right leg. Mark Calado contributed 11 points.
Cignal (1-1) will look to bounce back on Wednesday in its matchup against Martelli Meats at the same Pasig venue.
