Onitsuka Tiger again starts their season strong at Milan Fashion Week with its 2025 Autumn/Winter Yellow Collection, a bold fusion of heritage and innovation. Metro and Metro.Style were front and center right in Milan, experiencing this edgy collision of vision and aesthetic. Inspired by Tokyo’s “Urban Duality”, the collection mirrors the city’s ever-evolving energy—where neon-lit chaos collides with quiet, timeless beauty. From the electric pulse of Shibuya, Shinjuku, and Harajuku to the stillness of its outskirts, the designs reflect a metropolis in constant motion, balancing the edge of modernity with the depth of tradition.

Rewriting Aesthetics: A Clash of Styles

This season, Onitsuka Tiger pushes boundaries with an eclectic mix of British countryside influences, Western-inspired details, and punk-charged elements, all softened by romantic undertones. The silhouettes are redefined—structured pea coats, tailored suits, and sleek jackets crafted from double-faced wool and micro houndstooth create a sophisticated yet rebellious edge. Gorpcore-inspired zip-up mid-layers, oversized cable-knit cardigans, and micro twin sets add depth, emphasizing personal expression over trends.

For a softer contrast, the collection introduces pleated skirts, silk blouses, and lace-trimmed dresses, exuding a vintage-meets-modern allure. Paired with hand-embroidered Nordic pullovers, voluminous skirts, waxed cotton jackets with corduroy collars, and Texan-style boots, the aesthetic shifts effortlessly between rugged and refined. Cropped wool and polyester jackets, stitched with cowboy-inspired bugle embroidery, inject a muscular edge. Every fabric and finish, crafted in Japan, reinforces the brand’s unwavering commitment to craftsmanship.

Outerwear and Footwear: Where Innovation Meets Attitude

Outerwear is futuristic yet grounded, with synthetic leather bomber jackets and pea coats delivering a sleek, modern punch. The footwear lineup makes a statement and is set to make an exciting debut soon—the studded ballerina flats, also complemented with squared metal-toe designs, and a reimagined version of Onitsuka Tiger’s archival weightlifting shoes offer a rebellious twist on classic forms. The iconic MEXICO 66 sneaker returns with a crystal-studded upgrade, channeling the glitz of ‘80s pop culture.

Accessories That Dominate

Accessories complete the vision with attitude. Onitsuka Tiger’s signature bowling bag gets a crystal-studded revamp, while a mini pochette with oversized straps is set to become the season’s cult favorite. These statement pieces capture the collection’s fusion of legacy and contemporary luxury.

A-List Affair: Global Style Stars Were Everywhere

The Milan debut wasn’t just a show—it was an experience. A lineup of global icons, including MOMO of TWICE, Thai actor Gulf Kanawut, Korean actor Wi Ha-joon, Chinese actor Ziyi Wang, and Australian actress Phoebe Tonkin, brought star power to the front row.  Of course, our very own Heart Evangelista was also present giving her usual sporty spin on her Onitsuka Tiger look. The venue itself was wrapped in Onitsuka Tiger’s signature fragrance, an immersive detail that elevated the entire showcase.

With its 2025 A/W Yellow Collection, Onitsuka Tiger delivers a fearless interplay of nostalgia and futurism. It’s a celebration of contrasts—raw yet refined, rebellious yet elegant. A statement of individuality, a tribute to craftsmanship, and a masterclass in bold self-expression.
