What are your goals this 2025? After a blissful few weeks spent wearing loungewear and holiday outfits, it’s time to stow away the decor and officially lock-in.
To help you get started, we asked Metro’s Most Stylish women about their fashion resolutions for 2025. Sartorial self-improvement is high on the agenda this year, whether by shopping less and wearing more from your closet, steering clear of trendy items, to building a shared wardrobe with your best friend.
Take inspiration from Vern and Verniece Enciso, Aliza Apostol-Goco, Stephanie Zubiri, Janeena Chan, Mikaela Lagdameo-Martinez, and Nicole Andersson.
Vern Enciso-Lim

1. Accept my new body and size. It will take a while for me to bounce back or I may not even go back to my size pre-pregnancy but just accepting and learning to love my new body and what new styles will fit it is one of my fashion resolutions.
2. Work with what I have as opposed to constantly buying new things.
3. Accepting that not all trends will fit me and that my classic girly style that I feel most confident in is okay! I don’t need to change my style just because there’s a new trend.
Verniece Enciso-Dichaves
1. Declutter my closet by letting go of pieces that no longer reflect my style. It’s time to make space for what truly feels me.
2. Try new trends with intention. I want to step out of my comfort zone but only experiment with trends that align with my personal style. no more jumping on every passing fad.
3. Host an event at the Villa Studios and Cornerhouse, and gather my friends for a fun day of finding new homes for our preloved items. Fingers crossed this one pushes through!
Aliza Apostol-Goco
1. Build a shared wardrobe. I’d love to explore sharing versatile pieces with my daughters, especially as they’re starting to develop their styles.
2. Go for timeless over trendy. This year, I’ll focus on classic staples that I can wear repeatedly, styled in fresh ways.
3. Teach my family sustainable habits–from encouraging my kids to donate clothes they’ve outgrown to experimenting with upcycling projects together, I want to make sustainability part of our family’s everyday choices
Stephanie Zubiri

1. Joyful Dressing. I’d like to wear more pieces that bring me joy! I was so conditioned to look at cut and fit since my mother was a fashion designer that sometimes pieces that are quirky and fun are overlooked. I want to focus less on “Does this outfit make me look good” and more on “Does this bring a smile to my face!”
2. Buy less and invest more. I’ve already moved away from too much fast fashion and really focus on pieces that I can wear over and over again. Even if they are bold and printed. I’d like to commit to that even more now. Also, explore rentals and clothes swapping with friends more in the same sustainable vein.
3. Put more effort into everyday dressing. I won’t lie, I often just throw on the same stuff every day. I have a home office so oftentimes I spend all day in athleisure but I would like to take more pride in dressing, especially for the small private moments.
Janeena Chan
1. Support local more! It’s amazing how our local artists and artisans are really at par with global standards and I’d love to champion that more by wearing and supporting more local designers and brands whether I’m here in the Philippines or abroad.
2. Be more organized with sorting and keeping tabs on everything I own fashion-wise and just be more smart and intentional in terms of maximizing pieces that I own. I know it’s gonna be a challenge but I’m excited for my Marie Kondo era as I move into the new home too this year!
3. Be bold with experimenting with new looks that aren’t usually in my comfort zone from the past years, to see if they fit my current vibe, life chapter, and vision. If you won’t try, you won’t know! It’s not necessarily about trends, but about discovering what actually suits me now vs my previous style eras.
Mikaela Lagdameo-Martinez
1. Simplify my closet & keep it as minimal as possible.
2. Continue letting go of pieces I haven’t worn or don’t intend to anymore at @mikalagdameocloset.
3. Stop shopping! just reuse and love all the pieces I have. Style them differently and enjoy them for as long as I can.
Nicole Andersson
1. I'd like to learn how to sew.
2. Only buy after I have gotten rid of something. One item out, one item in!
3. Choose quality over quantity.
