It was indeed another kilig-filled episode of “ASAP XP” as the well-loved pair of JM Ibarra and Fyang Smith, together with three other popular Kapamilya tandems of this generation, once again made hearts flutter and brightened viewers' Sunday with their charming performances during the July 5 episode.
They paid tribute to the one and only “Queen of Philippine Pop Culture” Jolina Magdangal by singing some of her timeless hits that have undoubtedly become part of many Filipinos' lives through the years.
The romantic set opened with Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin, who delighted FranSeth supporters with their sweet chemistry while performing "Laging Tapat."
Following them were the promising duo of BGYO member Gelo Rivera and Alexa Ilacad, collectively known as GeLex, who captivated fans with their rendition of "Tameme." The pair, who currently headline the ABS-CBN Studios vertical micro-drama “The Chambermaid's Daughter” streaming on iWant, were joined onstage by Kai Montinola and Jarren Garcia, whose adorable performance thrilled KaiRen supporters.
Closing the special number was the JMFyang loveteam, who charmed the audience with their rendition of "Sana'y Kapiling Ka." They were later joined by the FranSeth, GeLex, and KaiRen tandems for a whimsical finale that wrapped up the romantic musical segment, giving viewers extra doses of kilig.
