Microdramas have a way of keeping viewers glued to their screens. Whether it's romance, comedy, or drama, these bite-sized stories pull us in and make us binge them in one sitting. And when it comes to meet-cute romantic comedies, nothing hooks us quite like “The Chambermaid's Daughter.”

Now, our beloved KPaps and Babo are officially back for Season 2! Starring Alexa Ilacad and BGYO's Gelo Rivera, this iWant vertical drama is ready to make our hearts swoon all over again. Before Hannah and Daniel's story continues on July 30, let's rewind to Season 1 and revisit how their romance began in Episodes 1–5 of “The Chambermaid's Daughter.”

When Hannah meets Daniel

Directed by Theodore Boborol, this iWant original vertical series introduces Hannah Montano (Alexa Ilacad), a hotel room attendant whose life takes an unexpected turn when she crosses paths with Daniel Jeon (Gelo Rivera), the reserved yet magnetic liaison to Chairman Song (Alex Chang).

Chairman Song tasks Daniel with finding a mysterious necklace, which soon becomes the thread that ties his fate to Hannah's. Their first encounter is anything but smooth, but it's where the sparks begin to fly as Hannah's bubbly personality clashes with Daniel's cool, aloof demeanor.

Adding to Hannah's struggles is Sabrina (Meann Espinosa), the strict hotel manager who seems determined to make her life even harder. But despite the challenges, Hannah's warmth and persistence keep drawing her back into Daniel's orbit. Her search for the shoes Daniel carelessly threw away eventually leads her to his suite, setting off a hilarious encounter that feels straight out of a K-drama.

Hannah, Daniel, and the walls between them

From then on, every interaction between Hannah and Daniel builds the tension and kilig, drawing viewers deeper into their story. GeLex's chemistry is undeniable, with Alexa's impeccable comedic timing perfectly complementing Gelo's cool, intimidating presence. Every scene leaves audiences wanting more and eager to see what unfolds next.

In Episode 4, the mystery deepens when Daniel discovers that Hannah possesses the very item he's been searching for—the mysterious necklace. As the pendant remains in her possession, his growing connection to Hannah becomes increasingly impossible to ignore.

By the time Hannah starts following Daniel around, convinced that he has her missing necklace, Daniel hires a private investigator to look into her background, suspecting that she may have a connection to Mr. Song.

Episode 5 keeps viewers hooked with its cliffhanger moments—especially the intense scene where Daniel pins Hannah against the wall during an argument, leaving them just inches apart. It’s the kind of charged moment that keeps audiences glued to their screens and eager to see what happens next.

But the drama doesn’t end there. The following episodes uncover more about Hannah’s ties to the Song family while introducing a love triangle that intensifies the rivalry and conflict surrounding them. Family secrets and power struggles put Hannah and Daniel’s growing connection to the test, setting the stage for unexpected twists that fans won’t see coming.
