Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin have made us believe that grand gestures aren't dead. Ever since the Star Magical Prom was launched in 2023, the pair has never failed to give us adorable promposals that just get more heart-fluttering every time.
With the Star Magical Prom 2026 just around the corner, fans are once again thrilled, waiting to see how he will ask her to be his date. But before we get a new chapter in their prom story, let's revisit the sweet ways Seth popped the question to Francine in past prom seasons.
Before the glam and red carpet photos, every prom event actually begins with someone finding the courage to ask, "Will you be my date?" And Seth has given us a few unforgettable versions of that question. In 2023, he prepared an intimate dinner at a serene resort in Cavite. It was so elaborate that it took him almost a week to carry out his surprise, of course, with the 'blessing' of Francine's parents. Seth definitely understood the assignment!
He set up the dinner date in a garden adorned with fairy lights and candles. A blindfolded Francine was then guided to the end of a candle-lit aisle. When she removed the blindfold, she was greeted by the sight of Seth holding a bouquet of her favorite flowers, which he personally picked out. He the asked her to look at the letter balloons arranged on the grass, spelling out the question, "Will you be my prom date?" Of course, she said “yes!”
The two capped off the evening with a slow dance under the lights and by watching the night sky painted in fireworks.
The dreamy surprise emerged as a big winner during the event. FranSeth took home the awards for Most Viewed Promposal, Most Kilig Promposal, and first runner-up for Best Promposal.
We thought the 2023 invite would be impossible to top, but Seth managed to raise the bar even higher the following year when he 'promposed' to Francine—not just once, but twice—in Dubai, where they performed in a cultural festival.
While he skipped the elaborate props unlike the previous year, he certainly made up for it in creativity. Seth wrote, "Will you be my date to the Star Magical Prom?" on a tiny piece of paper, which he tucked inside a coffee sachet.
While spending some downtime in the desert, Francine was busy admiring the scenery and posing for OOTD shots, clueless that the person taking her photos was an accomplice. When she turned around, she saw Seth walking toward her with a red rose in hand, and the coffee packet with the hidden note. Francine was then handed a pen and she happily circled the "yes" option on the paper.
One invitation would've been enough, but Seth gave her two. At the actual event in Zabeel Park, just as Francine was about to start her solo performance, Seth suddenly interrupted and joined her onstage. He then directed her attention to the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, which was visible from where they were standing. "Mas mataas pa diyan ang pagmamahal ko sa'yo bilang katrabaho," he said, earning kilig screams from the crowd.
He told Francine to keep her eyes on the iconic landmark before sneaking up behind her with a stem of rose. Like a true leading man, he formally asked her to be his date to the Star Magical Prom.
The unique, viral fairytale moment earned them the Most Viewed Promposal award for the second year in a row.
