Former “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0” Kapamilya housemates Miguel Vergara and Eliza Borromeo captured those deeply nostalgic feelings, especially with Miguel’s heartwarming promposal for Eliza leading up to the “Star Magical Prom 2026: The Future.”
Also referred to as “LizGuel” by their fans, Miguel and Eliza went through significant changes while living inside Bahay ni Kuya’s house since, before being housemates, they actually shared a ‘special’ bond until they eventually reconnected.
Months later, their connection became stronger in the real world, culminating in Miguel’s thoughtful arrangements for Eliza. With the help of his supportive fellow “PBB” alumni Iñigo Jose and Rave Victoria, Miguel’s sincere efforts to make the promposal a memorable one turned out ultimately successful.
“‘Yung lahat nang ‘yun, hindi ako napagod kasi nga it’s worth it, kasi it’s for someone na dear to me,” Miguel expressed, recalling his sleepless night making a poster and picking flowers in the early morning.
While the boys were on their way to Casa Editha, Carmelle Collado and Krystal Mejes followed, together with the clueless Eliza. The three energetic girls dubbed themselves “Tres Marias,” the group name they chose to represent their friendship during the course of “PBB.”
Upon arrival, Miguel gave a brief explanation about the venue, which was actually owned by his aunt, and then instructed his best bros to move on to the light arrangements. While the careful preparations went on, led by a nervous Miguel, the girls were hilariously jamming together, munching on snacks, and recording trends.
Later that night, it was finally the time to begin the surprise for Eliza. Being told that they would just vlog at another location with limited filming time, Eliza is startled by Rave’s and Iñigo’s unexpected appearance.
The second she stepped inside the delicately decorated main room, Miguel’s heart-fluttering recorded message started to play. “’Di ba ‘pag tinatanong ako [kung] ano ang pinaka-naaalala ko sa bahay ni Kuya, my answer will always be the people. It’s just so happened that my favorite person that I got to know was you,” Miguel conveyed.
As Eliza gazed at every picture attached to the lights, Miguel showed up at last, holding the poster that had the most important question. The two first reminisced their memories together, with Miguel emphasizing the way Eliza encouraged him to live up to his potential before, during, and after their “PBB” journey.
As soon as Miguel officially brought up the question and got their friends to hold onto the “prom” letters, Eliza’s “yes” was undoubtedly spoken with tears.
In the post-promposal interview, Eliza first shared that she believed they were going to be busy eating and subsequently appreciated every little detail that completed the special promposal. “Isa ito sa mga fantasy ko, so thank you, Miguel. Ang fantasy n’yo ay reality ko,” Eliza quipped.
For Miguel, the most magical moment would definitely be when the promposal properly occurred. “Ang pinaka naging magical moment sa’kin, of course, [was] when everything was happening na… It was so nice kasi ‘yung reaction ni Eliza, it was genuine,” Miguel added.
At the same time, their close companions Rave, Iñigo, Carmelle, and Krystal exchanged squeals of joy and high-fives. All four of them were beyond thrilled for both Eliza and Miguel, having watched the chemistry between the pair throughout “PBB.”
“Siguro pinaka-challenging is we have to hide it… Lalo na kay Eli kasi alam kong mabilis makakutob si Eliza… ‘Yung pinaka-fun is makita ‘yung reaction ni Eli and makasama ko ulit silang lahat,” Krystal mentioned.
Shortly after the promposal, the group gathered together for a photo adorned with smiles, also full of anticipation for the upcoming “Star Magical Prom 2026.”
