The Aces of P-Pop, BGYO, mesmerized viewers in the June 14 episode of “Everybody, Sing!” especially for leading a perfectly charming and vocally captivating team-up with the Songbayanang Food Bazaar Crew during “The ChooSing One” round.
Soon after performing their popular track “All These Ladies” as well as teaching the Unkabogable Vice Ganda and co-host Iyah Mina a little choreography, they ultimately helped all of the players achieve a perfect score with their 2022 song “Tumitigil Ang Mundo.”
Speaking about their stage-ready auras, BGYO’s leader, Gelo Rivera, explained that their short performances went smoothly since they were already huge fans of the show and were familiar with its pace. At the same time, lead vocalist Akira Morishita showed appreciation to the production team, “Isang preparation na rin ‘yung maaga sa amin sinend ‘yung gagawin naming.”
As for their usual routines, main rapper Mikki Claver mentioned that they would typically have conversations regarding the things they would be doing while on stage. In addition, they refrain from eating heavy meals and prefer to drink coffee as an energy booster prior to performing.
“Nagkape kami, ‘yun ‘yung mahalaga… Kailangan namin para mataas energy namin,” main vocalist JL Toreliza conveyed.
When discussing their most unforgettable performance, each member agreed with Mikki, who highlighted their first concert titled “BGYO NOW: The First Solo Concert,” which was held last October 4, 2025, at the New Frontier Theater.
The BGYO members also listed the songs they like best from their discography. Akira chose “Andito Lang,” while Gelo opted for “All These Ladies” and “Gigil.” Much like Gelo, JL then settled on “All These Ladies,” and the youngest of the group, Nate, went with “Fresh.”
Regarding their most challenging performance, Mikki brought up their recently concluded live EP launch for their 7-track mini-album “On Demand” last June 4. Aside from the new choreographies, Gelo elaborated on the complexity of dancing and singing on a 360 stage.
Funny stories among the boys were also revealed, with JL saying they once slipped while doing their dances in front of the crowd, specifically Akira. Clarifying more, Akira detailed how his long, beaded pants were the cause of his fall, but he recovered quickly from the mishap.
In terms of the international artists they would be delighted to jam with, Mikki quickly identified Justin Bieber, while Nate decided on Justin Timberlake. JL next picked the Backstreet Boys, with Gelo preferring Usher.
In response to their memorable moments with the Asia’s Unkabogable Superstar, all members instantly expressed gratitude for Vice’s unwavering support, from visiting them during a few rehearsals to agreeing to join them onstage as part of their performance for “Love Laban Pride Festival 2025” in Quezon City.
“Everytime na makasama namin si Meme, sobrang special moment na,” Mikki remarked.
To wrap up, BGYO determined their favorite Vice Ganda song, most notably the viral “Boom Panes,” which they actually performed on one of Vice’s birthdays.
