On the heels of Marcus’ (Richard Gutierrez) recently concluded interrogation of the secretly held captive Datu Rahman (Jaime Fabregas), Marcus heads back to NLEA’s headquarters only to be faced with the unnerving gazes of his fellow officers.
Playing innocent, Felix (Baron Geisler) approaches a perplexed Marcus, at the same time notifying him of a viral video in which Datu Rahman is exposed as the merciless shooter of young police officers Concendido (Kobie Brown) and Vinluan (Emilio Daez).
At a rapid pace, Marcus proceeds to follow a fuming Director Azuelo (Rommel Padilla), who is almost fully convinced about Datu Rahman’s alleged identity as the main cause of the ongoing chaos as well as being named as the murderer of the slain Task Force Alpha members.
Right after hearing this, Marcus readily raises concerns about the video’s credibility, pointing out his own speculations related to the mysteriously wiped-out CCTV footage from the street where Concendido and Vinluan were unexpectedly killed. Marcus also mentions the questionable, untraceable IP address linked to the video itself, which might lead to a conclusion that it is actually maliciously altered.
In a furious response, Director Azuelo stresses that the analysis of the digital forensics already confirmed that there are no modifications incorporated in the reported video. Marcus stays firm with his belief, asserting that someone from NLEA might have skillfully penetrated the system and erased the raw footage, especially given the high vulnerability of digital evidence against any technological manipulation.
Director Azuelo then calls out Marcus’ claims as baseless, sharply making the point that Datu Rahman must be brought to him as soon as possible so there will be a much greater chance that he’ll finally believe in Marcus.
