The Big Dome indeed turned into a massive sing-along fest as Regine Velasquez-Alcasid belts out four of her most beloved classic hits through the years alongside four of today’s most promising and most talented female artists during the May 31 episode of “ASAP XP.”
Radiating elegance in a stunning yellow gown, the “Asia’s Songbird” opened the special number with “Araw Gabi,” joined onstage by Alexa Ilacad, Elha Nympha, Esang de Torres, and Kai Montinola. The showcase then highlighted each young artist as they paid tribute to Regine’s enduring musical legacy.
Dazzling in a gold-studded ensemble, Alexa captivated the audience with her rendition of “Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw.” Kai, meanwhile, exuded grace and charm in a striking green outfit as she delivered a heartfelt performance of “Ikaw.”
Esang kept the crowd engaged as she performed “Dadalhin,” prompting fans to sing along and wave their hands along with her. Rounding out the tribute was Elha, whose powerful vocals shone through her moving rendition of “Pangarap Ko Ang Ibigin Ka.”
The remarkable performance concluded with Regine, Alexa, Kai, Esang, and Elha singing onstage together for a rousing reprise of “Araw Gabi.”
