Following his personal investigation at Isla Damai, Marcus (Richard Gutierrez) unexpectedly encounters illegal firearms smugglers at the port. Witnessing their covert operation in the night, he suddenly remembers Datu Rahman’s (Jaime Fabregas) declaration of innocence, saying that the Muslim community at Isla Damai were only hiding the firearms so they wouldn’t be taken advantage of by syndicates.
Seconds later, Marcus overhears the group speaking about how Datu Rahman’s absence made things easier for them since nobody’s blocking their deliveries anymore. In a flash, Usman’s (Ejay Falcon) call reaches Marcus, and he is apprehended by two armed men, pointing guns at him.
They instantly bring Marcus to their leader, who actually recognizes him as a police officer from Manila. Arrogantly, the leader spills confidential information, particularly how Marcus’ attempts at confiscating the weapons won’t change anything since their backer is a high-profile officer at NLEA.
Cleverly, Marcus hints at burning the weapons before he strongly fights back, successfully eliminating all hostile members of the group. He then briefly inspects each box containing the illegal firearms before setting it on fire while recounting the innocent lives lost due to the gun-related violence involved in Task Force Alpha’s missions.
Keep track of Marcus’ next plans for justice in “Blood vs Duty,” streaming on iWant and airing weeknights at 8pm on ABS-CBN sa ALLTV2, A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, and Kapamilya Online Live (KOL).
