In another entertaining segment during their guesting on Kapamilya Chat, JM Dela Cerna and Marielle Montellano took on the “And I’m Telling You: Who’s Who?” challenge, where they had to name who among them best fits each description given by the host.
When asked who has the most patience during rehearsals, they agreed that it’s definitely both of them. JM and Marielle emphasized that their teamwork thrives on honesty, to the point that they’ve become each other’s first critics, openly sharing observations to continuously improve their performances. This level of transparency has become a key factor in their success as a duo.
Meanwhile, when asked who’s more extroverted, Marielle didn’t hesitate to point to JM, which he quickly agreed with. He even joked that his energy especially spikes after his coffee fix. She then voted for herself as the more thoughtful one between them, with JM supporting her claim.
According to her, caring for others has always come naturally, especially when it comes to family and close friends. In fact, there were instances when she acted as JM’s “human reminder,” keeping him on track with their gigs, schedules, and responsibilities.
Another thing they both agreed on was that they are equally frank. Whether it’s giving feedback or expressing opinions, JMielle doesn’t easily hold back. This honesty strengthens both their performances and their personal bond.
When the host asked how they handle the pressure of high expectations from others, Marielle said that they both always strive for excellence and aim to live up to those expectations.
“To be honest, na-pressure po talaga kami,” JM related. Sobrang napre-pressure kami, especially no’ng simula po ng ‘Your Face Sounds Familiar.’ Mga first to second episodes, napaka-competitive po namin talaga, na para bang [nasa] ‘TNT’ grand finals ulit. [But then] na-realize namin na kailangan lang pala i-enjoy natin, to have fun.”
Since Marielle is frugal, JM simply pointed at himself when asked who between them is the more magastos (big spender). However, she defended him by saying that he isn’t an impulsive buyer, as he usually purchases clothes he can use for work.
In return, JM revealed that Marielle spends mostly on food, which she confirmed, adding that she often shares it with him or their other companions.
