Annette (Sharmaine Suarez) begins to panic as they keep failing to contact the missing Althea (Andi Abaya), after she had been gone for quite some time and having told her father that she’d just drop by a nearby store. Fearing that Edong (Jake Cuenca) will abduct and take advantage of Althea, Annette turns to Erica (Kaila Estrada) for desperate help.
As Erica arrives with Marco (Race Matias), the lack of response from Althea causes Annette to plead with Erica to inform the police of Althea’s disappearance. Erica negates the claim that Edong might sexually assault Althea, but in response, Annette stresses that most men have the capability to do so.
Althea appears just as the commotion reaches its peak, explaining that she just quickly visited Edward’s (Joel Molina) house after getting the news that Esther Castro’s (Malou Crisologo) dead body was reburied at his old house, which now belongs to the MABEL girls, who are renovating it to become their retirement home.
Seeing as the mystery is finally solved with Althea’s safety, Erica and Marco begin to leave the premises, but the ways in which Annette has repeatedly mentioned the dangers of sexual assault that might target Althea whenever she’s involved in an incident made Erica form an unsettling speculation.
Nervously, Erica returns to the house, intent on discovering if she was born from the sexual assault suffered by Annette at the hands of a past lover. Annette tries to deny it at first but eventually admits the truth to a tearful Erica, who was indeed the child she unwillingly had from her rapist.
Remembering the traumatic night, Annette goes on to narrate that she wasn’t able to report it to the authorities, as even her father would force her to marry her perpetrator. She then decided to flee until she set foot in Amurao, where she also found out that she was pregnant with Erica.
Driven by resentment, Annette had first thought to abort Erica but failed to do so. Hearing this, Erica weeps more, painfully asking if Annette didn’t really look at her as separate from her abuser.
Before walking away, Erica trembles as she explains that even though Annette hadn’t aborted her, each day they had lived under the same roof, it felt like she was killed over and over again by Annette’s hate and neglect.
