With their careers skyrocketing as new-generation actors, “The Alibi” marks Angelina Cruz and Robbie Jaworski’s teleserye debut as an onscreen pair, bringing to life the roles of Katherine Morales and Edward Cabrera. Katherine is the younger sister of Stella, portrayed by Kim Chiu, while Edward is the youngest Cabrera sibling and brother to Vincent, played by Paulo Avelino.
Before the television adaptation of the romantic-thriller drama unveils this March 16, Angelina and Robbie step away from their characters to reveal their personal quirks in an episode of “5 Things You Don't Know About Robbie and Angelina,” where they share five random facts about themselves.
Robbie kicked off the segment by recalling his pre-showbiz acting experiences, including a scene with fellow actor Donny Pangilinan. “Before showbiz, I wasn’t doing anything like performing arts, and I didn't have much experience in entertainment,” he said, adding, “I actually performed twice, I had a cameo dance with Donny Pangilinan.”
Robbie shared that he studied for quite some time at San Beda Alabang, where he was once asked to present in front of people. “We performed a dancing tribe. Tapos, they called me up on stage during the hosting. They made me dance.”
After Robbie shared a few personal trivia, it was Angelina’s turn. The Kapamilya actress revealed she isn’t fond of coffee, “I tried coffee nung high school, but I get palpitations always.” She confessed, however, that she’s a big fan of sweets and matcha. Angelina and Robbie also clicked over one shared fact—they’re both proud fur parents. Angelina has eight dogs, “Six chihuahuas, isang toy poodle, at isang French bulldog.” Robbie, meanwhile, has six.
Later, the two shifted to music. Angelina disclosed that piano was the first instrument she learned as a child, while Robbie used to play the clarinet. “I was so passionate at playing the clarinet.” Angelina couldn’t believe it at first, as it doesn’t show in his personality. Robbie added, “I started playing, I was like, ‘oh maganda pala ’to ah.’”
Robbie then aired a fun tidbit about Angelina, doting on her baby nickname “Bujing.” Playfully firing back, Angelina exposed Robbie’s, “’Yung kay Robbie naman, so far from your name---Bubbalicious.”
