Emil (Joel Torre) heartbreakingly grieves as he confirms Ayen’s (Yassi Pressman) death in the March 10 episode of “Roja.”
Holding Magnus (Raymond Bagatsing) and Liam (Donny Pangilina) at gunpoint, Emil forces them to dig deep to uncover Ayen’s remains. It is recalled that Magnus had buried her body along with Greta (Lorna Tolentino). Eventually, the two reach the site where Ayen is laid to rest, recovering her dress and a few strands of hair, likely from her skull.
Seeing this, Emil is shocked as tears begin to well up. With Ayen’s remains recovered, Liam and Magnus hand them over to Emil, who is immediately filled with rage and throws Greta down into the hole along with her family.
Emil kneels in tears. “Hayop kayo,” he mutters, continuing to cry as he clutches the remaining bones. He breaks down further, recalling his last moments with Ayen while he was still in prison.
Back then, the dynamics between Emil and Ayen were as good and as normal as those of a happy family. Emil often found similarities between Ayen and her mother, which he found amusing. These little moments with Ayen were what he held deeply in his heart. Now that Ayen is no longer with him, his desire to seek revenge against the Roja family reaches a deeper level.
Not long after breaking down in tears, Emil raises his gun. “Ito ang paghihiganti ko,” he declares. He stands once again, aiming at Greta, Liam, and Magnus, who are about to face his fury, and a gunshot rings out.
