Aside from Alice (Janella Salvador) finally confronting Beth (Charlie Dizon) over her refusal to admit the mistake she made fourteen years ago that led to Edong’s (Jake Cuenca) imprisonment, Ryan (Yves Flores) also clashes with Beth for the same reason.
Still far from seeing eye to eye in their convictions, Ryan reaches the limit of his understanding when he sees Edong’s cryptic message to Beth, threatening their lives and even including their stolen family photo.
Upon realizing that Edong had already infiltrated their home without their knowledge, Ryan rages and slams Beth’s phone onto the floor.
Meanwhile, back at Alice’s place, Erica, Scott (Mark Neumann), Lucas (JM de Guzman), and Marco (Race Matias) brainstorm more ways to capture Edong. The group considers numerous plans, from issuing a public notice to offering a bounty, but they ultimately prioritize gathering overlooked evidence related to Louisa’s (Mutya Orquia) real killer.
Erica briefly wonders whether Beth might have information, but ultimately concludes that they can work without her. However, just as she says this, Ryan arrives instead of Beth, determined to help them even if Beth disagrees.
Ryan’s sudden insistence is revealed to stem from his exhaustion with the chaos surrounding Edong’s revenge, most especially the message serving as his tipping point. He stresses to Beth that he no longer wants to live in fear of Edong’s lurking presence and wants to be part of those who will put an end to Edong’s wrath.
Before walking away from Beth, Ryan also opens up more about how he doesn’t feel the sincerity in her words about choosing him if given the chance to restart her life.
He relays the news of Edong’s latest intimidation to the group, prompting them to move forward with a list of people they can interrogate about Louisa’s murder, particularly those who might know someone with a burn-like scar on their back.
