Still overcome by grief and guilt following the unforeseen demise of Santino (Ron Martin), Tanggol (Coco Martin) confides in his father, Ramon (Christopher de Leon), and his friends about the deep regret weighing heavily on his heart.
Tanggol cannot help but blame himself for failing to save Santino from harm and for dragging him into his unfortunate life, as well as lament over the painful thought that his late younger brother still had so many dreams left unfulfilled before he passed on. Although Enteng (Jojit Lorenzo) reminds him that Santino’s death is not his fault, Tanggol struggles to shake off Ben’s (Mark Lapid) remark that everyone who gets close to him ends up in danger.
Enteng reassures Tanggol that Santino willingly sacrificed his life to save him because he truly believed in the cause that he is fighting for. Ramon echoes this sentiment, saying that the deaths of Don Julio (Tommy Abuel), Oweng (Renz “Baby Giant” Baña), and Santino prove that they were all ready to risk their lives for the greatest battle of Tanggol’s life due to their unwavering faith in him.
Thus, Enteng urges Tanggol not to lose hope, reminding him that they must continue the fight for those who selflessly put their lives on the line because they highly believe in him. The recent goings-on might have made Tanggol feel uncertain about winning the current battle he’s facing, but what he’s sure of is that he will seek vengeance for Santino, Oweng, Don Julio, and all the people of Manila. He vows to strip the reigning Guerrero family of their power and control, as well as to restore Manila once he finally takes hold of the reins.
