Sensing that there was already something wrong going on when his friends failed to return immediately from their supposed transaction with Aling Nena, Tanggol (Coco Martin) finally decided to go after them to check what was happening.
While he and his father, Ramon (Christopher de Leon), were welcomed by the merriments of the fiesta street dancers as they walked through the street where Aling Nena’s den was located, they immediately engaged in a shootout against the armed men guarding the property, including the owner herself.
Amid the commotion, Tanggol spotted Rigor (John Estrada) when he and Ramon climbed up to the rooftop and attempted to shoot and catch him but failed, as Rigor was quick enough to escape through the fire exit.
The attention of Tanggol then shifted to Enteng (Jojit Lorenzo), who was sitting helplessly on the floor, telling him and Ramon that they had been set up. He instantly froze when he noticed the bloodied, lifeless bodies of their friends—Dolfo (Ryan Martin), Bulldog (Mammoth Estroso), and Tanos (Mark “Big Mak Andaya)—wrapped in cloth and laid out behind Enteng.
Overcome with grief, Tanggol approached them one by one, cradling them and calling out their names as he broke down in anguish. Memories of their heartfelt moments together flashed before his eyes.
Tanggol, who was obviously consumed with anger at the time, turned back to Enteng and harshly yanked him to his feet by the collar of his shirt, demanding to know what had happened.
