Finally deciding to join the search for Edong (Jake Cuenca), Beth (Charlie Dizon) tells Erica (Kaila Estrada), Alice (Janella Salvador), Mel (Sue Ramirez), Lucas (JM de Guzman), and Marco (Race Matias) that she saw Cornelio, one of Kyle’s longtime friends, on a call with another acquaintance.
During the call, Cornelio warns the acquaintance, speculated to be Travis, that Erica’s team is on the move to uncover more of Kyle’s possible involvement in Louisa’s murder. This prompts Marco and Erica to lead the group to a more meticulous planning of their investigation.
Immediately after their meeting, Alice approaches Beth, worried that her relationship with Ryan (Yves Flores) might suffer after he overheard Alice and Beth’s tense conversation, which revealed Beth’s deep-seated regrets.
Reassuring Alice that they’ll reconcile, Beth admits that she was indeed selfish for not wanting to cooperate. She makes it clear that she will assist the team in finding Edong, as she can’t bear to put her loved ones’ lives in danger anymore, particularly Chloe (Jewel Milag), who has been suffering trauma from Edong’s tricks.
Beth adds that even if it means revisiting the bitter past with Edong, she is willing to do so. However, when the topic of confessing their past mistake to the public resurfaces, Beth remains adamant in refusing, not wanting to lose the respect and admiration Chloe holds for her.
She shares how proud she is of her daughter, even noting that Chloe is far better than she is and would never have allowed herself to be intimidated into submission by Celestino (Bart Guingona).
In another surprising moment, Beth finally tells the truth after fourteen years of denial, admitting that she lied about accusing Edong, believing at the time that it was the right thing to do.
Erica chimes in, still trying to convince Beth, but Beth lashes out in frustration before walking away.
