New icons, bigger twists! As the celebrity performers gear up for Round 8 on "Your Face Sounds Familiar," the pressure is on for them to level up and take on more unexpected transformations.
Dia Mate looked confident and ready to channel the bold and fierce Doja Cat; while a mix of excitement and disbelief flashed across Akira Morishita’s face when the 'iconator' assigned him to impersonate Yeng Constantino—his first gender switch this season.
But for the first plot twist on 'YFSF' this 2026, Alexa Ilacad surprised everyone when she playfully told Akira, “Kukunin ko icon mo!" and true enough, she stole the ‘Yeng’ slot. “No’ng nakuha niya si Ate Yeng na mentor ko, talagang nakaramdam ako ng inggit,” Alexa said. Because of the swap, Akira will be taking on Alexa's original icon, BLACKPINK’s Lisa.
As for the rest of the performers, Jarlo Base will be channeling none other than jury member Gary Valenciano—a daunting task, but he promised to do his best even if he feels he can’t fully match Gary’s style. Jason Dy, on the other hand, will embody the rock 'n’ roll legend Elvis Presley. And for JM Dela Cerna and Marielle Montellano, their next challenge is to transform into Janno Gibbs and Jaya, with judge Gary suggesting they try a gender switch this time around.
