Following the surprise visit of Caprice Cayetano’s dad, Chef Jorge Mendez, who helped the remaining “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0” housemates in their 14th weekly task by guiding them in coming up with the possible dishes that they will serve to their upcoming customers in “The PBB Bistro”, Kuya then invited the loved ones of three nominees to be his special food tasters.
Some may have expected celebrities or culinary experts to fill the roles, it was later revealed that the food tasters were none other than Sofia Pablo’s father, Christian; Eliza Borromeo’s sister, Chelsea; and Carmelle Collado’s cousin, Myra.
While the housemates were busy preparing the dishes that they would present to their unexpected guests, Kuya took this as an opportunity for him to further get to know Sofia, Eliza, and Carmelle—who were all up for eviction this week—through the perspective and stories of their loved ones.
Daddy Christian shared that although Sofia does not live with him, they enjoy bonding over buffet meals whenever they are together. Meanwhile, Eliza’s Ate Chelsea disclosed that even though neither of them knows how to cook, they often bond over the meals prepared by their mother. Lastly, being an only child has brought Carmelle closer to her extended family, with Myra imparting that they usually dine out or gather at their grandmother’s house during family reunions.
As food tasters, Christian, Chelsea, and Myra had to rate every dish that the housemates had prepared for them. These dincluded “Tuneinei” (tuna crisps) by Carmelle and Krystal Mejes, “Adobo Pasta ala HeaGuel” by Heath Jornales and Miguel Vergara, “Lava Marchurros” (chocolate churros) by Marco Masa and Joaquin Arce, “OTW On the Wings” (flavored chicken wings with mashed potato) by Ashley Sarmiento and Eliza, and “Chizmiz ni Lady” (cheese sticks) by Caprice and Sofia.
