Last January 12, Kapamilya actress Bela Padilla was announced as part of ABS-CBN's upcoming action-drama series "Blood vs Duty." Joining lead stars Richard Gutierrez and Gerald Anderson, the project marks Bela’s first dive into the action-drama genre---a fresh challenge and character she’s ready to embody.
The Kapamilya actress has been preparing through rigorous research and hands-on training such as Muay Thai, combat drills, and gun handling, unleashing her inner action star. As seen in JRB Creative Production's Instagram post, Bela took gun handling classes, as well as shooting and proper aiming of target with intense stunt training.
In another Instagram reel, Bela gave fans a closer look at her training sessions with co-stars Gerald Anderson, Richard Gutierrez, Barbie Imperial, and Baron Geisler. The clip shows her performing stunts alongside Gerald, practicing gun handling with Barbie, Baron, and Richard, and diving deeper into her stunt classes.
A genre unlike her past projects, “Blood vs Duty” is set to showcase a new side of Bela Padilla---one audiences have never seen before.
"Blood vs Duty" will be helmed under JRB Creative Production, the creator behind “Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin,” “Mars Ravelo's Darna,” “Nag-aapoy na Damdamin,” and “Sins of the Father.” JRB Creative Production is led by Ms. Julie Anne R. Benitez and Creative Head Mr. Dindo Perez.
