Upon returning to the police station, Ponggay (Maris Racal) reported to Rigor (John Estrada) that Hector (Aljur Abrenica) had been killed in action and that they did not see Tanggol at the scene.
However, one of Hector’s subordinates, Abad, spoke up and accused Ponggay of being Tanggol’s accomplice. He revealed that Hector had been tailing Ponggay, which led him and his team to discover the location of Tanggol and his group.
When Rigor confronted Ponggay about the allegation, she vehemently denied it. Abad, however, added that Ponggay was not originally part of the Task Force Sandigan, so they were surprised why she was present during the operation against Tanggol.
Ponggay was left speechless as Rigor castigated her for betraying her colleagues, as well as when he ordered the confiscation of her service firearm and badge. As she was being handcuffed, Rigor declared that she was being charged with obstruction of justice for helping Tanggol and his fugitive companions escape.
Her best friend, Patrolwoman Chona Vasquez (Via Antonio), attempted to intervene, suggesting to Rigor to detain Ponggay first and follow due process. Rigor berated her instead, warning that she could be dragged into the case if she did not keep quiet. Ponggay shook her head at Chona, signaling her to stop.
Rigor turned to Ponggay again and remarked that she was indeed her father’s daughter, recalling how Mauro (Richard Quan) had been dismissed from service for his involvement in various crimes. He then ordered Ponggay to be taken inside the police station.
