It isn’t only the guys who have figured in various skirmishes in “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” as its female characters are able to prove that they women know how to fight as well. Among them are Jackie and Divina, being portrayed by seasoned actresses Rosanna Roces and Angel Aquino, whose fiery showdowns we’d witnessed—the last of which had something to do with Roberto (Albert Martinez).
As we look forward to seeing if they are going to have more face-offs or if they are able to patch things up, let us revisit the five scenes that showed Jackie and Divina’s burning rivalry in this video.
Their paths began to intertwine at an intimate dinner hosted by the Guerreros, where they met their longtime allies and business partners, the Mondragons. While their families have known each other for a very long time already, it was only during that event when the Guerreros initially saw Divina since she had just returned home at the time after years of being estranged from her husband, Brando (Roi Vinzon), and their unico hijo, Rockyboy (Baron Geisler).
Jackie instantly disliked Divina, particularly when Divina brought up her betrayal of Tanggol (Coco Martin)—a revelation that the Guerreros found utterly hard to believe. Even though she told them the gist of the story, they still couldn’t help but be skeptical about her and presume that she might do the same with them once they renewed their partnership with the Mondragons. But Divina assured them that she had already considered Tanggol an enemy after he left her at the time when she needed him the most, which led to her incarceration.
When Jackie warned her that Tanggol and his group might strike back, Divina admitted that this fear was exactly why she had returned to her family, knowing only they could protect her.
Just when Divina thought that her explanation was enough to convince Jackie that her loyalty was not with Tanggol anymore, she was completely wrong. Jackie was still dubious about her and her real intentions to their family, as seen in how she behaved and interacted with her during their meeting with Divina when they tapped her to be the supplier of the 20 ambulances their family had pledged to their constituents.
Aside from the financial benefits of their business partnership, it became evident that Divina had another motive for her enthusiasm about her first project with the Guerreros—she was actually interested in Roberto! As she tried to seduce him and force herself on him, Jackie caught them standing so close to each other inside his office, which made her become more suspicious towards her.
Both of them may have lied about what was happening between them before she entered the room, but Jackie refused to believe them. Thus, she confronted Divina to warn her about pushing her ulterior motives on Roberto and to remind her to know her place.
However, instead of being threatened or intimidated by the legal wife, Divina had only grown fiercer in taking advantage of Roberto. And in her second try, she finally succeeded in luring him, but they were able to pull away from each other before Jackie and Miguelito (Jake Cuenca) could catch them in the act.
Unfortunately, the adage “third time’s the charm” did not hold true for Divina, for although she succeeded in persuading Roberto to engage in the illicit act with her, Jackie caught them in the midst of it. Instead of being ashamed of it, Divina was even proud of what they’d done as she commended Jackie for finally catching them and joked that she only wanted to prove that rumors about her husband’s sexuality weren’t true.
A scorching spat and intense catfight ensued between them, with Jackie furiously dragging Divina out of the vice mayor’s office and down to the lobby of the city hall, wherein more people got witness their altercation. Jackie was so angry that Roberto and their security personnel failed to stop her from hurting and embarrassing Divina.
Is there still a chance for these two equally strong and fierce women to make amends with each other? Or is the alliance between the Mondragons and Guerreros really over? Let's see by watching the next episodes of “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” on Kapamilya Channel, ALLTV2, A2Z, iWant, and Kapamilya Online Live (KOL).
