Ever since his showbiz career took off in 2006, Gerald Anderson has been known to be a bankable and talented actor. Throughout the past two decades, we’ve witnessed how he has evolved from being a promising teen heartthrob to becoming a sought-after leading man.

And after years of impressing us with his dramatic talent, Gerald is able to prove his versatility as an actor via his stint in the primetime series “Sins of the Father,” wherein he gets to showcase not only his talent in acting but also his skills in action, as his character, Samuel Trinidad, relentlessly and courageously fights against the enemies. Besides, it has also allowed him to make his directorial debut, as he helmed the remarkable “1 vs 100” sequence, in which Samuel amazingly fought against 100 goons all by himself.

Let us look back on the 10 scenes of Samuel that displayed his vigor, flair, and bravery during his ferocious combats with opponents in this episode of Kapamilya Toplist.

Right at the beginning of the series, he immediately got into action as a thief suddenly appeared behind him while he was retrieving the laptop of his late father, Mike Trinidad (John Arcilla), at his office. He fought him with all his might, yet the burglar was able to knock him down and take the laptop away.

Just when he thought that being at the workplace could spare him from harm, Samuel found himself being assaulted by an intruder, who was later on revealed to be his officemate, Agnes Policarpio (Jessy Mendiola). Well, we found out that she’s really not an enemy because she’s actually one of his few dependable and trustworthy allies.

Being the helpful and heroic person that he is, Samuel didn’t hesitate to hinder a group of men ganging up on another man, who they coerced into paying back the P500,000 that they owed him. The poor man was revealed to be a victim of the Yayaman Tayo Investment Fund scam spearheaded by none other than Samuel’s father, Mike.

The biggest battle of Samuel eventually came when, in his pursuit of infiltrating the group where Roldan and his younger brother Jacob (JC de Vera) were both part of, he had no choice but to accept the challenge of the scheming Rivera brothers for him to fight against the 100 goons whom they hired all by himself. Just when Roldan and Jacob, along with their boss, General Diego Ramirez (Tirso Cruz III), and his corrupt and wicked friends, assumed that Samuel wouldn’t make it out alive considering the number of enemies he had to face and defeat singlehandedly, he was able to prove them wrong in the end.

Samuel managed to knock down some of them, even those who were taller, more powerful, and more badass than him. But knowing that he was really no match against them since he was already too exhausted, weak, and wounded, not to mention that the enemies were too many, he decided to just escape from them by jumping off the abandoned structure that served as the battlefield.

Are we going to see more of Gerald in his action star era? Let's all find out by not missing an episode of “Sins of the Father,” weeknights on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live (KOL), A2Z, TV5 and iWant.
