He may not be able to openly endorse Tanggol (Coco Martin) since clergies like him must remain neutral when it comes to politics, Rev. Fr. Ruben (Nanding Josef) delightfully accepted the invitation of Roda (Joel Lamangan) and Team Tanggol for him to preside over the prayer rally that they organized at San Dimas.
Tanggol may have caused or engaged in a lot of trouble in Quiapo growing up, but Fr. Ruben conveyed that his support is for Tanggol since he has witnessed his impressive growth and transformation through the years. Thus, he’s hopeful that once he wins the elections, Tanggol will be the positive change that the Manileños have been yearning for.
Fr. Ruben led their prayer to the Black Nazarene as they hoped for a peaceful and honest election and for the voters to choose the rightful leaders. Besides, he also prayed that the Lord Almighty will continue to guide Tanggol once he gets elected as mayor.
