Even though it was never part of her plans to be part of the entertainment industry, Shuvee Etrata admitted that it was a longtime dream of hers to become a "Pinoy Big Brother" housemate. In fact, she used to watch it before and even had her picture taken outside the “PBB” house during her first trip to Manila. But since she’s in GMA—to which she has been fully committed—she never imagined it would come true anymore until the two media companies agreed to do the highly successful “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition."
Since it was her childhood dream, Shuvee didn’t have to think twice when GMA executives Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes and Joy Marcelo invited her to audition along with her fellow Kapuso artists. She underwent a series of auditions and callbacks within three to four months and told herself that if she wouldn’t get into “PBB, Collab” she was resolved to go back to studying.
Eventually, she got accepted, yet it almost didn’t happen because she had a taping for a series. In fact, she was still filming her scenes the day before she entered Bahay ni Kuya alongside her initial duo partner, Kapamilya housemate Xyriel Manabat.
